An integral part of our Breast Cancer Early Detection Programme is the community medical outreach. Through this, we are able to offer free breast cancer screening to women in ‘hard-to-reach’ communities.
On Friday, 15th September 2017 at the Palm Avenue Health Centre, we had a free breast screening outreach for women of the Mushin community. The screening exercise was preceeded by a market sensitisation drive on Wednesday,13th of September 2017. A total of 5 markets in Mushin were covered.336 women were screened and over 3000 persons were educated about breast cancer over a 2 day period.Beneficiaries received wellness checks, clinical breast exams and women aged 40 and above were given free mammogram vouchers.
